How to Track Body Temperature for Health Monitoring

A single temperature reading tells you if you have a fever right now. A temperature log tells you the pattern โ€” is it spiking at night? Trending down as antibiotics work? Fluctuating with your menstrual cycle? Tracking temperature over time turns a snapshot into a story.

How the tracker works

The ToolStand Temperature Tracker lets you log readings with date, time, temperature, and optional notes (e.g., "after exercise" or "morning reading"). Each entry is added to a running log displayed in a table. The tracker also generates a chart showing temperature over time, making it easy to spot trends, spikes, and patterns.

Fever alerts and thresholds

Set a fever threshold (default: 38.0 degrees Celsius or 100.4 Fahrenheit). The tracker highlights readings above the threshold and can alert you when a new high reading is logged. This is useful for parents monitoring a sick child โ€” log readings at regular intervals and let the tracker flag concerning values.

Exporting data

Export your temperature log as a CSV file for sharing with healthcare providers or importing into spreadsheet software. Each export includes all readings with dates, times, temperatures, and notes. The data stays in your browser โ€” nothing is uploaded to any server, which is important for health data privacy.
